An urgent care center differs from a typical primary care physician’s office in many ways. We have procedure rooms for stitching lacerations and splinting bone fractures. Velocity Care also has a radiology room for X-ray services. We can perform the following lab tests onsite- strep,flu,mono,rsv, pregnancy,urinalysis, complete metabolic profile, and complete blood count (CBC). We can also provide breathing treatments, IV therapy, high blood pressure stabilization, and ear lavage. We also offer school and work physicals, DOT physicals and other examination services.
Velocity Care offers on-the-job injury services to surrounding businesses. We provide a wide range of occupational medicine services, including pre-employment physicals, drug screens, and Work Comp Back-to-Work programs through our partnership with Functional Capacity Experts. With the rising cost of healthcare, we as individuals and businesses are increasingly concerned about obtaining quality healthcare in a time efficient manner with as little out of pocket expense as possible. Increasing costs are in large part due to the inappropriate use of emergency rooms for non-emergent illnesses or injuries. Velocity Care will provide the patient and the employer the opportunity for work related injuries to be treated promptly and cost effectively.
